Baking Idea: Easter Cake Remake

Looking for an easy, festive diy Easter or Spring cake? We have an idea for you
Isn't this cake the cutest!
We found it over here. It is a raspberry-lemon cake, yum!
We love the idea of the cake and thought it could be diy simplified,{meaning, not have to bake it entirely from scratch if that is not your thing, or not bake at all}:
This is what we thought of to make it easy, festive and fun!

Use a box lemon cake mix and raspberry jam inside the cake. We like to suggest that you make your own butter cream frosting whenever possible so that your cakes have that Homespun  taste about them!

Idea: buy an Angel food cake and container of whipped topping.
Flavor the whipped topping with raspberry flavoring and frost the cake!

For the cute bunny cookie decorations and egg cookie decorations, purchase a roll  of sugar cookie dough from the grocery store, roll it out and cut out bunny and egg shaped cookies yourself!
Or, you can usually pick up seasonal cookies in the grocery store bakery department.
Use jelly beans or Robbin's egg candy to decorate the cake!
Don't forget a little sprinkle of crystal sugar on top of the frosted cake for sparkle!

Ideas: this would be a great cake to serve at a Easter birthday party or baby shower!

If you would like the recipe for the cake, please go here.

We would love to know which version of the cake you make, and we would love to see your pictures! Remember.. keep it Homespun!
