Spring Butterfly Bouquet!
These butterflies may not be your garden variety type of butterflies, but they still are sweet! Since our Easter Egg pop tart post was popular, we wanted to try another design and the ever popular butterfly was a perfect choice!
We used the same technique for these butterflies as we did for the Easter Eggs. That would be: Choose your cookie cutter. Place your unwrapped Pop Tart on a cutting board. Cut out your shape. Gently remove Pop Tart from cookie cutter.
Butterflies love flowers, so we made up some flowers for our butterflies using cupcake papers, skewer sticks and ribbon.
Now the butterflies have a place to sit and rest their wings!
To make the flowers: Use two cupcake papers that you pinch together at the bottom. This will give you a flower looking shape. Take your skewer stick and insert it into the center of the cupcake papers. You will need to shape your papers again and open up the papers from each other like flower petals.Adjust your flower on the skewer stick to leave room for the butterfly to sit. Use a hot glue gun and carefully apply a few drops of glue into the center of the flower where the papers and stick are. You will need to place a few drops of glue here and there on the flower to keep it together. Tie on your ribbon.Stick on your butterfly!
These butterflies would be nice for a Mother's Day brunch, bridal shower, baby shower, birthday or as a get well gesture!
Once again, we hope we have inspired you!
