Lego theme was my sons choice for his 8th birthday celebration! We ended up having to move the party from outdoors, indoors at the last minuet due to rain! Crazy! The rain stopped, sun came out and we could go back outside so the children could enjoy the jumper and other party games!
Homemade cupcakes with Lego toppers made by Two Sugar Babies. Her work is outstanding! We also made ice cream cone cupcakes and topped with dipping chocolate and a cherry gum ball! Number 8's, candy labels, cupcake, ice cream cone decorations cut out using the cricuit. We filled a candy jar with Hot Tamale candy and unicorn lollipops. We wrapped boxes in yellow paper to add to the Lego look, and added polka dot pattern paper on top.
Gold fish cracker cones and homemade birthday candy kabobs!
Homemade marshmallow pops. We dipped graham crackers halfway in chocolate and added three mini marshmallows for our Lego Smore's! For food label stick holders we simply raided the Lego bucket, put two together and then wedged the stick in the middle for a stand. We dipped Oreo cookies in orange and red candy melts and sprinkled with sanding sugar.
We served a variety of candy including jelly beans, Pixie sticks, Lego bricks, Wonka taffy, button candy Tootsie pops and Skittles!
We made Lego straw slips out of construction paper we cut in to rectangle and square shapes, and used a marker to place dots on them to make them look like Legos! We wrapped forks in napkins and made napkin rings using free party circles we found from Hostess With The Mostess.
