Glass Cupcake Pedestals

Think your cupcakes are pedestal worthy?!
 We do!!!
We all have our baking "pride and joys", so why not put them up on a pedestal?! We just love everything about cupcakes here at Homespun With Love! So, you will see a lot of cupcake related posts. Honestly for me it is the eye appeal of the cupcake over the taste! Love a tasty cupcake, but I prefer the look first! We have been wanting to make some individual cupcake pedestals for awhile but just could not find the right inspiration........until..........
We came across this lovely Mother's Day Brunch Table scape from the talented Pizzazziere! That's when everything started coming together for our cupcake pedestal idea!
 You know where we headed....... the Dollar Tree to pick up crystal candlesticks and small glass dishes!We found something better than glass dishes.We found  votive candle saucers shaped like a flower, and the center is the perfect size to hold a cupcake! We ended up picking up enough supplies to make six cupcake pedestals. We debated on spray painting them, and decided not to since we would have more options for using them if we left clear. The color would come from the cupcakes and any embellishments added such as ribbon.

{See how the center is just the perfect size for a cupcake!}
So easy anyone can do it! All we did was to Gorilla Glue the top of candle stick to the bottom of the votive plate, let dry and presto, done! Who doesn't love these 1,2,3 finished projects that deliver great results! Can't you just imagine all the different ways one could use these!! Although our first use would be for, what else.... cupcake's, of course  they could also be used for: votive candles at place settings, candy dishes, floating a flower like a gardenia, cookies, fudge, green apple with a hang tag as a place card setting, oh my I can think of sooooo many! Alright, get it together here girl!

Here are several different looks using differnt cupcakes and changing out the ribbon color.

If you want to elevate your cupcakes to the next level, whip up a couple of these pretty cupcake pedestals for yourself, and you can truely say your cupcakes are pedestal worthy!
                         We hope we have inspired you!
                            Remember, keep it Homespun!
