Moving On Up!

Have a little one moving up a grade?!Don't forget to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of those younger children who are moving up a grade in school! My son is graduating from second grade into third grade on June 8 2011! He may not be asking for a graduation trip to Disneyland, ...yet, as a graduation present, but it still is thoughtful to acknowledge his hard work throughout the year is some small celebratory way. Have a look at what we put together!

While on our most recent trip to the Dollar Tree we came upon these cute little Chinese food take out boxes in the teacher supply section! They came two in a package which is nice for the price.They are printed on both sides with encouraging sentiments and school symbols.

 











 We decided we needed some encouraging printable tags for our little gifts to dress them up some!

 We found these cool kid friendly positive message printables over at Kind Over Matter blog. If you have never checked out her blog, please do. It is full of inspiration and kindness! She offers free printables with positive messages for kids and adults alike!

We printed and cut out the printables. Punched a hole in them, ran ribbon through and tied  them on to the handle of the box. Next we filled up the boxes with sweet treats. Earth chocolate balls and Star Wars gummy fruit snacks. Now we are all ready for graduation day to gift these!

Sometimes in life it is the smallest things that mean the most. A thoughtful gift from the heart is really all it takes.We hope we have inspired you to acknowledge the "little graduate"in your life and make them feel special for all they have accomplished this school year!
