Breakfast On A Stick

Make breakfast time more fun! We love anything on a stick! Cake pops, cookie pops, marshmallow why not Breakfast on a Stick?! We have deconstructed the traditional breakfast of french toast and bacon,  and made it something more trendy!
This is very simple to put together for your family.
Even the kids will love helping out with this!
Use your favorite  french toast recipe. We used raisin cinnamon loaf bread that we cut thick so it would stay on the skewer. Fry your bacon while your french toast is cooking. When french toast is done, slice it in thirds and then into bite size cubes. Slice bacon in to thirds. Skewer french toast first and then bacon. You should end up with 3 pieces of french toast and two pieces of bacon on each stick. Work quickly so the food does not cool too much. If it does, pop it into the oven or microwave. Warm up a dipping size bowl of syrup and enjoy!

So the next time the kids ask "What's for breakfast",
surprise them with  breakfast on a stick!
We hope you are inspired to get crafty in the kitchen at breakfast time!
Remember, keep it Homespun!

The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
Homespun With Love
