Kid's Craft: Fourth of July Firecrackers

Easy.Fun.Cheap.Creative.These are the words we all look for, especially when it comes to crafting with kids! Now that school is out and summer is in full swing, it is time to keep the kids creatively occupied in between swim lessons, day trips and karate class!
This craft project teaches: recycling, history {celebrating our countries independence} and creative expression.
What you will need:
Paper towel rolls. Toilet paper rolls. Paint {used what was on hand}. Sparkle pipe cleaners. Sparkle pom pom balls. Fourth of July wire garland.
What to do:
Choose you craft area. Lay down news paper. Allow the children to be as creative as they like. Let them paint away on the paper rolls. Set them aside to dry. Once they are dry, embellish away! To make the "fuse" for the fire cracker, simply cut off the desired length of a pipe cleaner and curl it around your finger. Open it a little for length. We taped our fuse to the inside on the roll.

                               Love the striped firecracker!
What are some of the summer craft ideas you have planned for your kids?! We would love to have you share them!
We hope you are inspired to get crafting with the kids for the Fourth of July!
We would love to see what ideas you come up with!
                                                   Remember, keep it Homespun!

The sleep of a laborer is sweet,
whether he eats little or much,
but the abundance of a rich man
                                                      permits him no sleep.
                                                      Proverbs 5:12
