Popscile Wednesday: {Cantaloupe Sicles}

Who says eating your fruit has to be out of a bowl?! Kids and adults will love eating ice cold, summertime juicy, sweet cantaloupe on a stick!
So easy and quick to fix and have later in the day as the weather warms up!
We found these really cool sticks at Walmart that were made for use with corn on the cob!
They are really sturdy, and 1/2 the size of skewer sticks.
These are perfect for lots of treats on a stick!

 Please note: Prior to cutting your cantaloupe, thoroughly wash it. Using a vegetable scrub brush and either plain water,  water with white vinegar added or vegetable/fruit wash, scrub the entire surface and especially around where the stem was.This is important because cantaloupe's are grown near the ground and can harbor bacteria such as Salmonella. Cut the cantaloupe on a cutting board and wash the board and knife with dish soap after wards.
                                            Directions
We cut our cantaloupe in halve, removed the seeds, cut it in half again and cut the halves into thirds. Remove the rind. Insert stick carefully about halfway through. Chill in a covered container several hours or freeze. Enjoy!

What will you be surprising your family and party guest with this summer that you will put on a stick?!
We hope you are inspired!

Remember, keep it Homespun!
