Kids Play: Kool-Aid Kool Dough

Cool kids play with Kool dough!!!! On the look out for a fun summertime or anytime kids activity to add to your collection?!
We saw this fun cool recipe for Kool-Aid play dough from  Chocolate On My Cranium
and knew it was going to be a winner!

Kool-Aid Play Dough {or as we have affectionately named it "Kool Dough"}
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
3 Tbsp. oil
1 pkg. Kool-Aid powder
1 cup boiling water
Stir together the flour, salt, and Kool-Aid powder in a bowl. Add the bowling water and oil. Stir and stir and stir until the mixture forms a ball. Gently knead a couple of times then set aside to cool down. Keep in a resealable plastic bag or in a small container.

We followed the recipe using orange Kool-Aid mix and made this wonder smelling,
wonderfully textured Kool Dough.
This activity taught Math, Science, Creative expression and recycling.
{we used an empty frosting container to store our Kool Dough in }

We brought out our play dough supplies and had fun!

Love the texture of this Kool Dough recipe.
Kids Play Below!

This is such a fun easy activity to do!
We hope you are inspired to try out the Kool Kids Kool-Aid Dough!

  7. I love making homemade playdoh. Never thought to put coolaid in though, so I am going to try that the next time I make it. I put glitter in mine to give it a little fun sparkle. If you have girls they might like that too.
