Sweets Table For Two: {Summer Picnic}

"Table for two please"! Celebrating life's special occasion's, or "just because moments", does not have to mean a big crowd of people, tons of party decor or tables loaded with treats. All of those things are great and have a time and purpose. This summer we designed a sweet, intimate, low key sweets table and picnic specifically for two,{myself and my husband!}.
 We would like to introduce you to our Sweets Table For Two!

The beautiful day the good Lord provided for our Sweets Table was breathtaking!
Using items around the house, thrift store finds and really easy diy projects we pulled it together.
From our thrift store we found a bandanna table cloth and bandanna scarfs. We used the table cloth on our freshly painted red table that we have had for years and the bandannas were used to help make our table bunting and for wrapping around various table accessories.

Going with a cherry flavor theme,  we placed our homemade mini cherry into vintage tart molds and placed the tart mold onto our diy red dessert stools and the stools onto our vintage pie shelf.
 Cherry jelly-O in mason jars looks so pretty wrapped with red bandanna and lace for a vintage look.
Recycled coffee bottles were used to serve up homemade Raspberry Lemonade.

         Dollar Tree flower pot was perfect to hold our bandanna print diy paper candy cones.
We filled the cones with red sour cherry balls and clipped on our diy shabby chic clothes pins for an added touch.

In a vintage white dessert cup we placed some cherry gummy candy we found at the grocery store.

Little touches make a big impact
 like the beautiful geranium's we picked from the garden and placed in a red pitcher,
and the white doilie lined dessert stand holding homemade brownies with brownie tattoos!

You may have noticed our Sweets Table For Two has three of some items. There are a couple of reasons for that:  aesthetically it looks better and the other reason, one for me, one for him and one to share! {wink}
We hope you are inspired to create a little magic for the two of you! Remember, keep it Homespun!

                                       My soul will boast in the Lord;
                                       let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
