Welcome To The Manor

"Hello, please come in my friend"! Hospitality is demonstrated in many different ways in our homes. For some a wreath on the door, a friendly welcome mat, a decorative pineapple or a purple colored candelabra with a ghoulish welcome sign as you walk in the door! It doesn't really matter as long as those visiting feel welcome. I guess you know which one we prefer!

This is how we changed  up our plain black wrought iron candelabra.

  At Michael's we found the perfect, already blinged out purple votive candle cups for $1.00. In last years stash we had left over purple jewels and the Welcome sign we never used. {Love!}

 Using hot glue we secured our votive cups to the candle holders. We did not want to permanently affix these so we can easily remove them after Halloween to reuse again and again.

  Next we hot glued on the beautiful purple jewels. We've said it before, love purple at Halloween and most anytime.

And with the wire on the welcome plaque for hanging, was perfect to bend and secure onto the candelabra. We simply twisted it around the candle stand to hold the sign in place.

Added some cobwebs.

Placed our flame less votive candles into the votive cups. Added some beautiful thrift store lace we have been holdong onto for just the right occasion!

And here she is! Here to welcome you into our manor!

How will you be saying "welcome" to your manor this Halloween? Hope we have inspired you to get creative! Remember, keep it Homespun!

  1. I love this!
    The purple really makes it stand out too!
    I have an old black candle holder that I considered painting but I think I will leave it black.
    Thanks for sharing!
