Cinnamon Stick Votives

Scent Of The Season! If you are a cinnamon lover as we are, today's little project is just for you! There really isn't anything about cinnamon not to love. Flavor, scent and the aesthetic appeal are so intoxicationg. We came across the inspiration for the cinnamon stick votives after finding a fabulous new blog, Home Stories A To Z, where Beth easily and quickly made a cinnamon stick candle centerpiece. After seeing Beth's, we had to make our own!

We gathered up some votive candles we had. Rubber bands. String. Whole Cinnamon sticks from the grocery store.

Place a rubber band around the votive candle.

We broke off some of the Cinnamon stick roughly the same height as the votive and placed the cinnamon stick between the rubber band and the votive candle working all the way around.

Once we finished placing in all the cinnamon sticks, we wrapped our string around the rubber band to disguise it.

We uses a candle tray we had for the candles and scattered some of the leftover cinnamon sticks and scented cinnamon pine cones in as filler.

This is what they look like in the evening.

If you are looking for a quick, easy last minute centerpiece to add to your decor give this one a try. You get a big look for little money! Remember, keep it Homespun!
