Dollar Store Host/Hostesss Gift #1

Small Token of Love. Before you head out this Thanksgiving, over the river and through the woods to Grandmothers house, or wherever, consider showing up with a special little host/hostess gift. When growing up, whenever we were invited to other peoples homes, our mother taught us to always bring something for the hostess. It did not have to be anything expensive, {and it wasn't}most of the time we showed up with a bouquet of garden flowers, homemade cookies or homemade sachets. The more homemade/handmade the better. The receiver was always happy with our thoughtfulness.

Who doesn't love receiving a candle as a gift?! These are just the perfect little "something" to present to your host or hostess this Thanksgiving gathering.

You will need a Dollar Tree candle.

We soaked our candle in water {not the entire candle, just up to the part where the label is, than with the residue, we Goo Goned it clean.

We found these fun word rub on decals at Michael's.

These free beautiful printable tags are from Shindig Parties To Go. We can not say enough good things about Amanda whose designs and styling are amazing! We used a 2" circle punch to cut these out.

This is the text we choose from our rub on decals. It is so appropriate this time of year.

Tied a little festive string around the neck of the candle.

Place the printable tag on the top of the candle lid.

Ready for giving! Place in a gift bag or tie up in some cello.

Whoever is the recipient of these candles is going to feel very appreciated and thankful. it is amazing how with a few simple embellishments, a Dollar Tree candle becomes a much more expensive looking candle.
Remember, keep it Homespun!
