Operation Christmas Child

 Giving From The Heart.
As a family, we are happy to participate again this year with our Church in Operation Christmas Child.  Operation Christmas Child is organized by the many good folks at Samaritan's Purse, a non-denominational Christian relief and evangelism organization spreading the love of the Gospel to those most in need. This is just one of the many ways Samaritan's Purse reaches out to others.

The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God's desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, "Go and do likewise."

For over 40 years, Samaritan's Purse has done our utmost to follow Christ's command by going to the aid of the world's poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child works to collect shoe boxes filled with items boys and girls would like to have {candy, toys} and really sometimes need to have {tooth paste, soap}. These boxes are than collected and taken in love and given to children in places all around the world. Without the love and kindness of people just like you, this would be impossible.

Here is a look at what our family put together this year.

Our shoe box is for a boy.

You do not have to be a member of a church or organization to participate in this very worthy cause. Simply go to  Operation Christmas Child  for more information. We hope you will fill a shoe box this season for a needy boy or girl soon as  National collection week  is November 14-21.
