Recipe Wednesday:{Harvest Pumpkin Soup}

Fruit Or Vegetable? Have you ever wondered? Technically speaking, a pumpkin is a fruit because a it is a fleshy plant that has seeds in it and comes from a flower.It is from the gourd family but most people group sweet edible produce as fruits and unsweet produce as vegetables. In that case a pumpkin would be considered a vegetable. Whatever you want to call it be sure to call it delicious! Pumpkins truly do make your senses celebrate.Think about it.... from the moment you hear the word pumpkin, your mind starts this journey of sight, smell and taste. All these wonderful memories come flooding back like a long lost friend you love being with time and time again! O yes, we love pumpkin!

This delicious pumpkin soup recipe originates from the wonderful world of The Gluten Free Goddess.We made the following changes/additions for our recipe: Omitted the cooking sherry. Used rice milk instead of coconut milk. Pumpkin Pie spice in place of the spices called for. If you would like to try this recipe you can find it at The Gluten Free Goddess along with a ton more recipes for your taste buds!

What a beautiful color this soup is. And that color means it is rich in healthy goodness for your body and soul. As chicken soup is good for the common cold, so we declare Harvest Pumpkin Soup good for the soul of Fall. When we turn inward and have that longing for the comforts of home and family and see Gods awesomeness in everything.

Are you a Fall baby and looking to warm your toes and celebrate the harvest?! Well even if you are not, you will want to give this pumpkin soup a try and you will be one happy soup maker.
