"O Come All Ye Faithful". With Christmas comes the renewed hope of Peace, Joy and Faith to all. We wanted to give the gift of inspiration this Christmas in a functional way that someone would use and see everyday. We also wanted our gift to be practical and good looking and budget friendly. We came up with making our own inspirational mugs.
We found white mugs at the Dollar Tree and they can actually go in the microwave if needed. We spent three dollars on the mugs.
We already had the vinyl, and we used the Cricut to cut out the inspirational images using the Joys of the Season cartridge.
We realize that the vinyl is not waterproof and it will eventually come off. We experimented a little and found that these mugs do not have to be entirely decorative, but functional too if you are careful to hand wash them and not submerge or soak them in water. We used dish soap and a brush to clean the inside and around the rim, gave them a gentle rinse and promptly dried them off. The vinyl stayed put.
These would make thoughtful individual gifts just as is: a set of inspirational mugs.
Or, you could fill the mugs with something special and gift them as a set or as individual gifts.
So this Christmas when you are deciding what to give, why not give a cup of Peace, Joy and Rejoicing, something we can all use a good cup of! Be inspired!
Restore us O God;
make Your face shine upon us,
that we may be saved.

I love your inspirational cut-outs. What a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully simple and creative. Love the black on the white mugs. You could also do this with simple graphics on a white vase filled with a mix of holiday flowers and bare branches for a hostess gift. Your mugs look smashing!
