Out With The Old, In With The New! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Now, it is time to get ready to ring in 2012!!! Unbelievable how fast this year has gone by. So now we need to get ready to make a lot of noise! Why you may be wondering. Did you know using noise to welcome in a new year goes back to ancient times when it was felt that noise scared off evil spirits. We plan on making a fair share this New Years Eve. For those of you who prefer a nice quiet New Years, wear your ear plugs and make up some of these horns for a friend to help them chase away those evil spirits that have been hanging around a little too long!
We started with party horns from Dollar Tree. Six for a dollar in the birthday party section. Love the jewel tones and the holographic pattern of the horn for a New Years Eve party.
We already had the trim on hand from previous projects.
We one of our glass cake stands to display our horns on. To fill in some spots on the cake stand and to add to the party "vibe", we used some silver and gold metallic ornaments.
While at target we found a package of two, 2012 headbands for $1.99.
Why not surprise the family this New Years Eve with something different and make up some glamorous horns and let them make a lot of noise to chase those evil spirits away once and for all! Be inspired!
But as for me, I will always have hope;
I will praise You more and more.
