Sweet, Savory, Creamy Goodness! We have a great little finger food recipe for you today! This New Years Eve, along with all your favorite libations, serve up something sure to please all your guests. This quick and crowd pleasing finger food recipe is great paired with your holiday cocktails, and only requires three ingredients! We love these types of recipes. You can even put it together ahead of time and bake them off prior to your party starting!
Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed With Cream Cheese
20 (1 by 1/4-inch) pieces cream cheese
20 pitted dates (preferably Medjool)
10 slices bacon cut crosswise into halves {we like to use the thick slice bacon}
20 wooden tooth picks
- Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Stuff 1 piece of cheese and 1 almond into each date, then wrap one piece of bacon around each date and secure bacon with a toothpick if desired. Arrange dates, bacon seam down and 1 inch apart in a parchment lines baking tray. Bake 5 minutes, then turn dates over with tongs and bake until bacon is crisp, 5 to 6 minutes more. Drain on a paper towel or parchment. Let stand for a couple minutes. Serve immediately.
We love serving these in a pretty martini glass for a fun festive touch. We leave the tooth picks in for easier pick up and keeping the bites together.
So if you are looking for a great, quick, tasty little cocktail finger food this New Year's Eve, give this one a try and watch your guests sing your praises! Be inspired, get creative!
In the night I remember Your name O Lord,
and I will keep Your law.
