Valentine's Day Mantel Garland

DIY Valentines Garland.  To finish off our Valentines mantel of course we had to make a garland. Red heart doilies are so reminiscent of childhood Valentine making for us. We would gather around the dinning room table with all of our supplies and make Valentines for family and classmates and cut out red construction paper hearts to hang in the windows of the house. Looks like we still love those red hearts.

To male our garland we make paper rosettes from scrap book paper in black and white. Then we taped on the red heart doilies and used Valentine stickers in the center of the heart.

To hang the garland we punched two holes in the rosettes and ran a black satin ribbon through.

We simply tied the garland onto our mantel by using some of the objects on the mantel as the anchors.

We hope we have provided you with a little inspiration for your Valentine's Day mantel! If you would like to have any of the framed prints we used on our mantel you can find the links for them here. Be inspired, get creative!

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able  to test and approve what
God's will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will.
