Are you looking for a Valentine gift idea without all the sugar? We crafted up a little non-sugar alternative, but still with all the sweetness! This is our take on the popular cupid's arrow that you are seeing and maybe even crafting yourself these days. We like this because it is: sugarless, easy to make, cost effective as multiple gifts and well received.
We already had on hand the pencils we picked up in early January, the foam heart stickers in our supply from last season and pipe cleaners always in the stash.
Peel and stick one heart sticker on each side of the pencil up near the eraser.
Take one pipe cleaner and cut it into thirds: a large , medium and small size. Take the largest piece and twist it onto the pencil near the bottom and than follow underneath it with the medium size piece and than the smallest. Shape them to look like the ends of an arrow.
We had some Valentine gift cards we stuck on the pencil with double sided tape.
Boys like receiving something on Valentine's Day as much as girls, even though they act like they could care less. So we wanted to make sure the boys knew their pencils from the girls: red hearts, owl print pencil and black arrow tips.
This is a Valentine craft the boys and girls can join in on. Not messy or complicated. So if you need something sweet, without the sugar, give this a try! Be inspired, get creative!
Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm,
for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it.
If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised.
Song of Solomon 8:6-7
