Happy Valentine's Day!

                                      Happy Valentine's Day!
By now you must know that dark chocolate {in moderation} is good for you, even on the day of loveNot just any old chocolate, but dark chocolate high in cocoa. The flavonoids in the cocoa bean are natural compounds with antioxidant properties - the same compounds that give berries, red wine and green tea their health benefits. So what better little gift to give to someone you love on Valentine's Day than chocolate and good health! And tucking some chocolate into a pretty homemade wrapper is not a bad idea either.

We are fortunate to live fairly close to the Ghirardelli  Chocolate Factory where they also have an outlet store open to the public filled with discounted chocolate. The chocolate smell that travels around town is amazing. So we picked up some dark chocolate squares to put inside of our Valentine envelopes. They fit perfectly!

We picked up these black treat sacks from the craft store and used assorted Valentine stickers we already had to decorate the envelopes. Since we had these Valentine treats more in mind to give to adults, the embellishments would have to be adult appropriate too.

Love that the stickers are so simple to use, just  peel and stick. Once you have your envelope decorated, place your chocolate square inside and fold over the tab. You could seal it with a KISS sticker for that finishing touch. Now you are ready to present your Valentine treats as you desire.

Tuck one of these little envelopes on your sweethearts pillow or in his favorite morning coffee up!

As you can see, it does not take much in the way of craft supplies to personalize your own Valentine gifts. So from our heart to yours....  be inspired, get creative! Happy Valentine's Day!

He who follows righteousness and mercy
Finds life, righteousness, and honor.
