Semi-Homemade Valentine Cookies

Need a quick, easy and festive Valentine treat idea in a hurry?!  When you are just not up to the bake from scratch thing, give it the old semi homemade version instead. We used four, probably in your pantry ingredients, for a quick, last minute, bring to the gathering festive cookie!

So for an upcoming Valentine Tea with the girls, we came up these festive cookies. What we used was: one roll of store bought cookie dough. One can of  frosting. Valentine sprinkles. Chocolate chips.

Slice your cookie dough into 1/4 inch thick slices and than in half again. Roll the pieces into balls and place onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 13-15 minutes. Allow to cool completely before decorating. Once the cookies are cool, take a decent amount of frosting and spread onto a cookie giving them enough frosting to come out to the sides. Place another cookie on top making a sandwich. Press gently.

Place your sprinkles on a plate and dip the cookie in the sprinkles all around the edges to cover up the frosting. Set on a tray. Melt chocolate and with a fork or spoon, drizzle chocolate over the cookie. Set aside to dry. That's it!

Plate, package or eat! We hope we have helped you with any last minute Valentine treats you may need! Be inspired, get creative!
