Easter Flower Cans

Simple. Frugal. Pretty.

Continuing on with our love of re purposing cans for decorating, we wanted to share with you today our Easter Flower Cans. Here are our Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day cans in case you  missed them. What once was destined to go into the trash and been transformed into pretty pastel Easter flower cans.

If your idea of a craft is a few coats of paint on some cans, than this one is for you!!

Use any size cans you like. All the same size, or stagger them using a variety of sizes and as many as you like. Right now, were are preferring the number 3.

Our choice of paint to use on our cans is this one, by Martha Stewart. We chose pretty pastel colors or green, purple and cream. {This is not a paid or sponsored post.} We love how creamy the paint is, and how evenly it went on when applied. Once again, Martha does not fail to deliver quality here.

When the paint dries it has just the slightest satin finish to it and stays true to color.

We applied two coats of paint on each can.

The pale blue box is a Target $2.00 find. No having to paint this time!

As the garden starts yielding its floral bouquets, we will swap out the fake for the real. But until than, we are getting a preview of what's to come!

If you are looking for more ways to bring some needed color into the home, why not try painting some cans up and putting some pretty flowers in them! Be inspired, get creative!

Getting treasures by a lying tongue
Is the fleeting fantasy of those who seek death.
