Easter in the garden!
Take your celebration for Easter out in the garden! Fresh air, sunshine and singing birds, are all good back ground for an Easter Garden Party! We wanted to share with you some of our ideas from our Boy's Easter Garden Party that might help you with any planning you may be doing for Easter or in general.
Never over look the dollar store for fun little party decor pieces and/or sweet treats such as these Spring cookie flowers we found. They are already wrapped in plastic, so all we did was to tie a piece of material around to top of the stick.
Here are some dollar tree carrot suckers that we opened and added a green mint gummy leaf to and stuck in a treat bag, than placed in a thrift store pale blue pot for presentation.
Peeps are always fun to decorate with, and when you make "Peep sticks" by adding some other marshmallow treats along with the Peeps, it gets even better! We found some sour apple marshmallow apples in complimentary colors we added.
Add a little whimsy here and their like we did with our cereal "Bird Seed" bowl with a cute little feathered friend! Use some cereal already in the cupboard you have been hoping to use up!
Look for unusual pieces at garage sales and thrift stores to use as props for serving some of your treats on. We found this little chair/bench at the thrift store and used it to hold and serve some treats in a jar. We kept it as is, and did not even paint it because we liked the look of distress we found it in.
Boys love their collections of different things. Our collection idea for this party was rocks {jelly belly beans}, worms {gummy worms}, and bugs {gummy bugs} all kept safe in mason jars which add another charming look to your treats.
Bring in more color and fun by using colored drinks such as juices, milk and of course, water. We love using water bottle labels. They add that extra special finishing touches.
What would a Easter garden party be without mud and worms?! BORING!!! So we made some chocolate pudding, served inside a little terracotta pot, with a plastic insert, crumbled chocolate cookies on top and stuck in some candy worms. Hummm...... on second thought, are they candy worms???!!!
We love having more than one party favor for our guests to take home. We found these little baskets at the dollar tree in the baby shower isle, and embellished them with pom pom trim and so some circuit cut outs. Placed in a few different pieces of Easter candy and placed at place settings.
Sometimes you find the unexpected in a garden Easter party, especially for boys! Boys love the adventure of discovering something new exploring it.
So what do we have here?! Speckled eggs!
Not just any ordinary speckled eggs, but Pop Tart speckled eggs.
Easy diy project using a thrift store sheet and some ribbon to make a party bunting. When the party is over, they can decorate the indoors!
Chasing butterflies!
Pretty garden eggs.
We hope we have given you some ideas and inspiration for your next garden party! Be inspired, get creative!
Your name, O Lord, endures forever,
Your fame, O Lord, throughout all generations.
Your fame, O Lord, throughout all generations.
For the Lord will judge His people,
And He will have compassion on His servants.
And He will have compassion on His servants.
Psalm 135: 13-14

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great ideas and for so many affordable solutions. May I ask where you found the labels for the water bottles and mason jars? I really like them and would love to use them on a project of my own. Also, did you find the mason jars at a Dollar Tree? They can be expensive so I am curious. Thanks for all your ideas and for any answers you can provide. I love your blog!
