Make Your Own St. Patrick's Buttons

Is your family a button wearer on St, Patrick's Day?  Here is a fun little St. Patrick's Day project you can do with kids after school or in the evening. Make your own St. Patrick's Day buttons to wear and personalize them to your liking.

The good thing about these buttons is they are reusable after St. Patrick's Day and can be used again and again for other parties or occasions!

Sorry about how the rainbow button turned out. While printing, two pieces of paper went through the printer, and the top part of the rain bow ended up on one piece of paper, and the rest on another.

We didn't want to have to print off another entire sheet just to get the rain bow, so we did what any frugal or cheapskate would do, try and line them up, tape them and use them!

What we used: St. Patrick's Day printables from World Label Blog. Glossy white paper. 2" circle punch. Foil shamrock doilie. Plastic fillable buttons/badges from the craft store.

How we did it: download and punch out the printables.

Seperate the badge, and use one side to trace a circle onto the doilie {we were able to get 3 per doilie}.

Cut out the circles.

Using double sided tape, tape the printable to the doilie circle.

Put a strip of double sided table onto the back of the doilie and tape it to the inside of the badge with the pin on it.

Take the other part of the badge and snap it onto the other. Done.

So, what are some ways to use these......

Fun little class room gifts so no body gets "pinched".

St. Patrick's Day party or March birthday party favors.

Just pin it on and spread a little green Irish cheer!

So gather your craft supplies, a couple of green snacks, call the family together and tell every one to "button it"! Be inspired, get creative!

Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!
For His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 136:26
