Six Natural Spring Cleaning Tips

Have you though about your Spring cleaning plan at all yet? With Spring comes the need to de clutter, brighten and freshen up our environments. From bagging up unused clothes for donation to really giving the home a good scrub down ridding it of the Winters germs and blues.

We found some all natural Spring cleaning tips that we will be using this Spring, and year round. Some of you may already be using these ideas, but for the rest of us, they are a welcome blessing.

Next time you use a lemon and are finished with it, toss it into your garbage disposal along with some ice cubes to freshen it up!

Salt shaker

Don't just sprinkle salt on the food you eat:

The next time something in the oven bubbles over, liberally sprinkle salt on the mess and when the oven cools, wipe up with a damp sponge. {more ideas}

Get Some Sun

If you think you have tried everything under the sun to clean the stains from your plastic food storage containers, give this a try. Cut a lemon in half, and rub in on the stains. Allow the containers to dry in the sun, and than was as usual.

Do The Windows

 Let the sunshine in by cleaning your windows with essential oils. Mix 2 oz. of water and 10 drops of lavender or lemon grass oil in a spritz bottle and clean your windows. Something else you will like: the oils may repel flies. {read more}

Scour Your Coffee Grinder With Rice

While Spring cleaning, don't overlook the coffee bean grinder. Yes, we should occasionally clean them since residue does build up. Mix a handful of uncooked rice for a few seconds in the grinder. Toss out the rice, wipe clean. The rice absorbs stale odors and build up. Now, time fro a fresh brewed cup of coffee!

Baby oil, a cloth and faucet

Baby oil not only polishes up your skin, but it can also polish chrome! On a soft cloth, apply a couple dabs of baby oil and polish your sink faucets and anything else that could use a Spring shine!
