Show your appreciation
Show the teachers in your child's life a little appreciation this May 8th in honor of Teacher Appreciation Day! A little token of appreciation speaks volumes to our teachers and lets them know that they have not gone unnoticed in these times of change.
This year, since my sons primary teacher is a male, we wanted to come up with a gift that was suited for a male and not too personal. So we decided that teachers can always use some classroom supplies that they can give to their students for encouragement, job well done or just because.
So we came up with this.
But first
some
Interesting quotes
I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well.
Alexander the Great

A true disciple shows his appreciation by reaching further than his teacher.
Aristotle
Aristotle
He who opens a school door, closes a prison.
Victor Hugo

From the dollar tree we purchased a variety of school items.
Cool boys and girls book marks
Sports book marks
Encouraging, colorful pencils
A teacher's note pad and motivational stickers
And a little red pot to hold everything in
We already had the stickers and decided to use them to embellish the front of our pot.
We are giving this particular teacher an "A+" to show our appreciation! Since we did not have a "+" sign in our sticker packet, we snipped off some of the lower case "t" and made it work.
When we think of the symbols associated with teachers, apples are the first thing that come to mind. We found this darling free printable set over at Dimple Prints. We love that you get two nice sized cards and circles that can be used for any number of things from cupcake toppers for a special surprise for the classroom to little hang tags for teachers gifts.
We decided to use the card to write a little thank you in for the teacher and than tuck it into the gift, and we tucked two circles in to the bucket on lollipop sticks
We love the idea of spreading some student encouragement around in the classroom when the teacher finds it warranted.
To all teachers in the classroom of a school, college or home.... we thank you for your commitment and dedication, your patience and friendship, for putting the best interest of our children first. Thank you.
Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth;
A stranger, and not your own lips.
A stranger, and not your own lips.
