Make A Patriotic Mason Jar

Looking for easy Fourth of July decor?

Need of  a little more Fourth of July decor that is easy to put together and don't want to spend much, if any in the process? That is us for sure. Aside from purchasing some flags, we had everything else we needed.

From ribbon and material scraps to mason jar and tissue paper, we were able to add a patriotic mason jar to our decor this year.

We took one of our large mason jars and wrapped in with some red strips of material we had from an old sheet. We did not even have to use glue to secure the strips, or any of the ribbon we used. We simply wrapped it around the jar and using a wooden skewer, tucked it in place.

After the red strips were in place we did the same with scrap white trim and blue ribbon.

To make festive fire works sticks we used red and blue tissue paper layered together, fringed both sides by cutting slits on each side without cutting through the middle, and than gathered it up, gave it a twist and fluffed it a bit.

We used wooden dowels to hot glue the fire works sticks to. We put a dab of glue in the center of where we twisted the paper together and applied the wooden dowel.

We tied some ribbon and lace around the neck of the stick also.

We used white paper towel in the inside of the mason jar to fill in some spots and to make taller our fire works sticks when placed in the jar.

Next we placed in our flags

We love how quick and easy this patriotic mason jar was to put together

Often times we are so tempted to rush out to the store to get "stuff" to make a project, when we really have all that we need right under our nose!

Do you have plans this Fourth to do some decorating with mason jars? We would love to know what your ideas are!!!

Be inspired. Get creative!
