Recipe Wednesday:Pineapple Juice Fruit Infused Popsicle's

Eat with your eyes first

A little food for thought: Master Chef’s are fond of saying, “We eat with our eyes first”, but did you know there’s research to back it up?  A study in the late 1970’s showed that, when we find food more appealing, not only do we enjoy it more we also absorb more nutrients from it.  Subsequent studies have validated this finding. {source}

How could the colorful summer bounty of Gods creation cause us not to eat with our eyes first. It is just so beautiful. Even if you are not a lover of certain fruits and veggies, you have to admit, they are very appealing to look at.

Without sounding like we are tutting our own horn, that is how we feel about today's popsicle's. They are just so pretty to look at ...and yes, they taste good!
It is Popsicle season, and we are taking full advantage of it!!!

Pineapple Juice Fruit Infused Popsicle Recipe

Enough 100% Pineapple Juice to fill your Popsicle molds.
Fresh fruit of your choice in season. We used strawberries, red grapes and blueberries.

Slice strawberries and place the desired amount into each cavity of the mold. Next, layer in the rest of your fruit.
Pour your pineapple juice into the mold. Insert the Popsicle stick. You may need to wiggle around the stick to get it in between the fruit.

Place in freezer until frozen. Enjoy!

Using 100% juice and fresh fruit together is a really smart way to get your family eating the nutrient rich fruits they need for good health.

There really is no need to add additional sugar to these since the pineapple juice is so naturally sweet.

These will come in real handy on that hot summer day. Make these up ahead of time and have them ready as a cool, refreshing healthy treat!

These also make great cold beverage icicles. Just fill a glass with a cold beverage and add in a fruit juice, fruit infused icicle to your drink. Pretty and fun!

We still think it would be so much fun to have a healthy Popsicle Stand this summer instead of the lemonade stand.
Be inspired. Get creative!

He who loves purity of heart
And has grace on his lips,
The king will be his friend.
Proverbs 22:11
