Serve it up on a festive tray!
We have another Washi tape project to share with you today! It is only our second project to be exact.
Instead of serving our Fourth of July snacks on an ordinary tray this Fourth,
we will be serving up some snacks on a diy, festive tray!
The good thing about this tray project is that when we want to change it out for another occasion, all we need to do is remove the Washi tape and we are back to a clean white canvas!
We found a large white tray at Target for $1.99. We already had the Washi tape and the other supplies we needed.
We ran a few strips of Washi tape across the tray in an American flag design and left the upper left corner of the tray free of tape. That spot is where the blue piece of card stock will go.
Our red stripes were done free hand without a ruler for straight lines, but we like the hand made, not perfect look to the over all tray.
Next we placed a piece of blue card stock on the tray in the upper left corner that we stuck on with tape.
Using some white paint and the eraser end of a pencil, we made fifty dots to resemble the fifty states/stars on the American flag.
Once the paint is dry, you are ready to serve up some Fourth of July snacks!
We went with some healthy cheddar cheese popcorn and some vegetable juice. These snacks are not "cute" by themselves, but once you put them into some cute serving vessels... you have a big difference!
We used a paper popcorn holder with a blue ribbon tied around it. For our vegetable juice we used our favorite go to bottles with some red, white and blue straws.
Just try and keep anything wet or that will sweat off the card stock part of your tray.
Making this Fourth of July serving piece is simple, quick and reusable with any other design you decide in future! We hope we have inspired you!
