Kids: Summer Reading Space Bookmarks

Make your own fun bookmarks!

We are blessed to have a son who started reading at a very early age and continues to love to read. Having a fun bookmark to mark your spot or just to take a few minutes and play with in between chapters can make reading fun!!!

This activity is super quick and easy and even boys will take an interest in it!

We have had these foam space stickers hanging around awhile and thought we would make some fun summer time reading bookmarks with them.

The foam bookmarks are from the dollar tree and are just the right size and colors for summertime reading.

Here is a look at the cool space stickers. We purchased them from Michael's last year and are not sure they still  carry them if you are interested. Of course any type of sticker your children likes can be used.

Simply peel off the backing on the sticker and place onto the bookmark. No glue, tape or sewing required!

Here are some of the creations we came up.

It is so important to encourage children to read. If having a super fun bookmark that they created to tuck into their book helps them to want to read more, we say "hallelujah"!

This summer we hope you will give the children the supplies they need to creative some very special bookmarks and encourage a love for reading.
Be inspired. Get creative!

Do not remove the ancient landmark
Which your fathers have set.

  1. Hello Kristin,
Our eleven year old reads for twenty minutes each day, making bookmarks would be a great project to keep her interested in reading.
