Water Ball, Bead and Bubble Exploration!

Whatever you call them, call them fun! We are sharing with you today something fun we did this summer. We first came across this activity over at
The Imagination Tree, and was so excited to give it a try!

This is such a great way to explore and use your imagination through sensory play. Water beads... balls... or bubbles, are made from polymers used in floral displays instead of water. Completely safe and non toxic.  They start out looking like a little seed and after soaking in water for a while, they plump up into these wonderful balls!

So here they are! They really are the most interesting little jems. They feel so good to the touch that you just don't want to stop playing with them!

Even the cars wanted in on the action!

If you haven't given these water beads a try yet, put them on your "to do" list. This is a great rainy day activity for the little ones, and big ones alike!
Be inspired, get creative!

He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
Proverbs 28:13

  1. Cool! I had gotten a bunch of water beads on eBay for super duper cheap... but didn't know what to do with them other than put them in flower water as a fun accent to a clear vase.

But now, I'm totally going to let our 3 year old play with them like you showed. I'd rather that he has some imaginative fun with them, than having those awesome beads sit in a jar to look at!

  2. This is so FUN! I've never heard of these before, but I bet the little grandson would love playing with these. Thanks for posting. Thanks also for posting the verse from Proverbs! Hope you'll stop in sometime. :-)
