Berry Christmas Mix

Something to snack on. When it comes to Christmas treats and snacks, we like to include in with the full on sweets some "healthy" sweets too.
 Don't forget to consider using berries this Christmas season.
 Not too excited about that possibility?

Well, what if we told you our berry Christmas mix has chocolate and coconut in it?
Oh, now we have your attention.

We are loving berries right now. Fresh, frozen dried... whatever.
Did you happen to see our recipe for a Winter Berry Antioxidant Smoothie?

Berry Christmas Mix Recipe

1 bag of Trader Joe's Dried Berry Medley {which has dried cherries, dried blue berries and dried strawberries}

1 bag of Trader Joe's Dark Sweet Cherries

1 bar of Trader Joe's Fair Trade Organic 72% Cacao Belgian Dark Chocolate Bar

1 bag of Ocean Spray Craisins Dried Cranberries {Cherry juice infused. These are not too loaded with sugar}

1/2 cup to 1 cup of unsweetened Coconut flakes {not the shredded type}

1 large bowl to mix in

Open the berry bags and dump each bag into the bowl.
Measure out the coconut {more or less} and add to the bowl.
Open the chocolate bar and chop it up into bite size pieces and add it to the bowl.

Using your hands or a spoon, mix together well.

~DONE~

Keep sealed in a container, jar or zip lock bag for freshness.
Should stay fresh if sealed for 2-3 weeks.

So simple, quick and pretty don't you think?! We love that the mix even looks like Christmas with the white of the coconut and the red of the cranberries.

If you are so inclined, you may want to make a little extra to give out to the neighbors this year. Just scoop some into some cello bags and tie it up with a pretty ribbon and use a printable hang tag. If you are the hunt for Christmas gift tags we have a ton on our Pinterest Christmas Printables board.

Pass out a little paper cup filled with this Berry Christmas Mix to the family instead of popcorn when you all gather together to watch that favorite Christmas movie.

Or place a big bowl on the kitchen counter for a quick handful on the way by.

We hope we have inspired you to make it a very berry Merry Christmas!

~ENJOY~

And with dishonor comes reproach.
