Pie Crust Spring Cookies

Thought we would share our Spring  pie crust cookies with you today. If you are not in the mood to do a from scratch baking project, the pie crust cookies are a fun and quick way to satisfy the need to bake without all the fuss.

We used this store bought pie crust for our Spring cookies. Got together some of our Spring/Easter cookie cutters and colored our own sanding sugar.

We simply added a drop or two of food coloring to our sugar, which happens to be this type, and mixed it up. This sugar is course and makes a good decorating sugar.

We cut out our cookies and baked them off.

While they were cooling we mixed up some icing for the cookies.

Once they were cool, we drizzled on the icing and gave them a sugar sprinkle.

Don't they look pretty for Spring?

And here are the main characters. The pink rabbit.

Sweet little yellow chick. "Peep, Peep".

                                                                    Sparkly blue Easter egg.

And a white country Church house.

From our family to your, Happy Resurrection Sunday.

My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,

turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding

indeed, if you call out for insight
    and cry aloud for understanding,

and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,

then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
Proverbs 2:1-5
