Washi Tape Mother's Day Candles

Mother's Day will be here before you know it, so why not get a head start on an easy homemade gift for mom!

All you are going to need for this quick and easy Mother's Day gift is some creativity and inexpensive, easy to find crafting supplies.

We said it would be easy to put this gift together and this is what you will need to accomplish that:

Inexpensive mini candle jars {we found ours at our local grocery outlet store.}
Washi tape
Paper flowers. {We used scrap book flowers}
Rhinestone bling
Hot glue

Start by applying Washi tape to the jar in a way that you like. We used different pattern and colored Washi tape to coordinate with the candle colors and just wrapped the Washi tape around the jars.

With the paper flowers, we layered 3 for the front of the candle and glued them on the front of the jar.

To add a little something extra, place your gem in the center of the flower.

Since our jar candles came with a nice little plastic over we decided to decorate it also with a flower.

We ended up decorating 3 candle jars to give as gifts this Mother's Day.

These happy little colorful jars could be placed at each place setting at your Mother's Day table as take home gifts or favors, or use them mixed in with you decor for the celebration. So many possibilities!

And since we are gifting ours we found an inexpensive way to gift wrap them. We had an unused sack cloth towel we opened up and cut into fourth. Placed the candle in the center and tied it up with a ribbon.

So now that you have been inspired, {we hope}, time to get busy!

Don’t hold back good from those who are worthy of it.
    Don’t hold it back when you can help.

Suppose you have something to give.
    Don’t say to your neighbor,
“Come back later.
    I’ll give it to you tomorrow.”

Proverbs 3: 27-28
