Homemade Citrus Foot Soak

Give the gift to yourself or to another this Mother's Day of a fresh citrus foot soak! No need to make a spa appointment when with a few natural ingredients, most likely some in the pantry already, you can make up your own foot soak.

                                Citrus Foot Soak Recipe

*1 1/2 cups Epsom salt
*1 cup baking soda
* zest of one medium lemon
* zest of one medium orange
* Grapefruit essential oil 10-20 drops {or adjust to personal preference}
* Lemon essential oil {10 drops}
* Orange essential oil { 10 drops}

Place Epsom salt, baking soda and zests in a bowl and mix well together. Add essential oils Mix well again. Place mixture in a pretty jar and store in a cool dry area. Lasts 2-3 weeks.

Note: We have read where others have used pure extracts in place of essential oils for foot soak recipes. However, we have no personal experience using them this way. We are mentioning this as an alternative to essential oils.

Seal up your jar good and tight to keep the mixture fresh and dry. Before using, give the jar a little shake in case it settles too much.

To use the citrus foot soak, fill a bathtub or little plastic foot pan with warm water add a couple tablespoonfuls, swish around to dissolve and breath in deep and enjoy the yummy citrus smell!

Turn an ordinary jar into a  pretty vessel to hold your foot soak in by simply printing on pattern scrap book paper, gluing it to the jar and adding a little bow. Don't forget to cover the lid!

Wise people receive honor.
    But the Lord puts foolish people to shame.

Proverbs 3:35
