Nourishing Body Butter Recipe

Doesn't this look good enough to eat?! Well your body will enjoy eating up all the nourishing ingredients in this boy butter recipe that's for sure!

This body butter is by far the best we have come across. We found it over at Rawmazing, where not only you will find this body butter recipe, but a lot more recipes too!

Without giving away the entire body butter recipe, after all it is only fair that you go visit it's creator,  however,we will give you the ingredients list.

So here goes.

* Organic raw Shea butter {author tells you which type is best to use and where to purchase it}
* Coconut oil
* Almond oil

We used Nutiva Organic extra virgin Coconut oil and NOW Solutions sweet Almond oil. The essential oil we added was Lemongrass.

We followed the directions step by step and had perfect results. The only part about this recipe that we found not 100% was the Shea butter smell. It has a natural scent that some people can not smell at all, while others, {like us}, pick up on it right away.

 It is not horrible, but it is noticeable to us even with the lemongrass essential oil.

But, we can live with it! We love this body butter and that's that.
Our next batch we may experiment using Coco butter in place of the Shea butter.

Also, as the recipe outlines, you need to keep whipping the solution until it forms into a butter consistency. We were a little nervous that once the butter was whipped to it's perfect light and fluffy stage, it would over time fall. Oh ye of little faith! No it did not!

Since Mother's Day is upon us, and since this recipe yields enough to share with Mother, but together a nice little gift to take to her.

We love our mason jars and they do just fine for just about anything, and they certainly look cute with this wonderful body butter in it and a free Mother's Day printable from Amanda's Parties To Go.

Tie a ribbon around the jar and add a little spoon as decoration and as a practical little way to scoop a bit of body butter out of the jar. A little goes a long way now!

So hurry on over to Rawmazing and get this recipe going for you and mom! Both she and your nourished body will thank you!

My father taught me.
    He said, “Hold on to my words with all your heart.
    Keep my commands. Then you will live.

Get wisdom. Get understanding.
    Don’t forget my words. Don’t turn away from them.

  1. I also don't like shea butter smell!!! another option is to get the deodorized version, but that will also eliminate the good nutrients. Just last week I made very similar sounding recipe with COFFEE butter and it came out amazing and smells very nice naturally (I didn't add any scent even). I think you will love it! Though mine came out more like a butter not a cream, it did not whip up...

  2. Looks great! Love your pictures too!
