Home Decor/ Black & White Summertime Mantel

No beach themed Summertime mantel this Summer. We decided to go with a black and white theme instead. Like we always try to do, we used what we had around the house and garden to make the mantel.

Lets see, from the garden we brought in a black plant container that was not being used at the time and from around the house... well, let us show you!

What we used from around the house were candles, a wood tray, a black vase our mantel clock and mirror.

What we added that were "new", are a print we printed for free, and made a bunting for our mirror from some left over material we used to reupholster our dinning room chairs with. Which we hope to share with you one of these days.

We took our recently made stencil jar candles and used some old black candle sticks we had to make another look for these candles.

We really love this chalkboard printable from Sweet Blessings. She offers some really nice inspirational printables.

Don't overlook your outdoor garden items when decorating. Like this here we brought in and put two flame less candles in.

Make a really easy bunting for your mantel mirror with fabric scraps.

No beach theme this year, but a little black and white never hurts either! Hope we have inspired you!

Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
