Metallic Candle Jar

You may have happened to notice this Metallic Candle Jar on our Thanksgiving Thankful Mantel. Candlelight is always apart of our environment around here and it is even more so this time of year.

To make your own Metallic Candle Jar you will need:

A jar or jars. Martha Stewart stencils. Martha Stewart Metallic Paints. Dabber stick sponge. Paint plate.

These stencils, in case they are new to you, are a peel and stick kind. Flexible and very easy to use. Just place the stencil where you please, choose your paint, load the dapper and dab away on the stencil.

Remove the stencil while the paint is still wet and continue to the next spot. Clean the stencil with a little warm soapy water and leave to try. When dry, return it to its clear backing to use another time.

We made a border around the top of the candle jar with some metallic glitter Martha Stewart paint.

A few more of the stencil designs we choose.

We placed our design all the way around the candle jar. Actually in three spots since we did not want to have a over crowded look on the jar.

We like how the garland and the metallic candle jars compliment one another. If you need to Fall up some jars for candles, this is a simple, quick and nice way to do it!

If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin...
