Black Cherry Chocolate Hearts

Today we are sharing our homemade Black Cherry Chocolate Hearts with you!

We love making our own chocolate candy even though they turn out with a few finger smudges or a nick here and their.

Like we always say, it's from the heart and that's all that matters.

Black Cherry Chocolate Hearts Recipe
Heart mould {soft}
I bag of chocolate chips {we use Enjoy Life}
1 teaspoon coconut oil
3-4 tablespoons {depending on how many you are making and how much you fill each cavity} organic black cherry preserves or fruit spread
Paint brush used for food only

Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a double boiler on the stove and slowly melt.

Once melted, use paint brush to add and paint on a layer of chocolate to the heart mould and place in freezer or refrigerator until set up.
While chocolate is setting up, place black cherry preserves in a bowl and stir gently to break up and make smooth. At this point we added some Maca powder to the mixture for added nutrition.

Remove chocolate from freezer and add a teaspoon or so of the black cherry filling to each cavity of the heart mold.

Cover the filling with more melted chocolate and chill again.

Once set up, allow to sit out 2-3 minutes before removing from the mould.

Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Love how they have a soft. liquid center naturally.
