Homemade Cherry Heart Pies

Seems like strawberries are the favored Valentines Day berry for most... except us... we like cherry!

We made these cute little Cherry Heart Pies perfect for holding in your hand.

If you are thinking they would be too much work to make
would you be pursued if we said... just 2 ingredients?!
Oh yeah, just 2 ingredients.Well maybe 3 if you count a little sprinkle of sugar on top.

Cherry Heart Pies Recipe

Pie crust pre made of homemade. We used pre made gluten free pie crust. Enough for two hearts per pie.

Cherry preserves. We used organic Morello cherry preserves.

Heart cookie cutter

Pre heat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment.

Roll out pie crust if needed or open and unfold if using store bought.

Start cutting out hearts and place one on baking sheet and set aside the other for the top.

Place a teaspoon or tablespoon of perseveres right in the center of the heart.

Place the second heart on top and using a fork crimp the dough together all around the edges of the heart.

We brushed a tiny bit of water over the tops of the hearts and sprinkled on a little sugar{Xylitol} on top.

Bake 15-20 minutes. Cool and enjoy!

Bleeding hearts of love!

One for you and one for me!

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2
