Our Thanksgiving kids table this year will have ages ranging from a few months to twelve years. We wanted to make it special for the older kids who we hope will appreciate our efforts and enjoy a sweet little treat too.
We came up with the idea of Teepee Treat Favors after seeing these Native American Teepee printables from The Imagination Box.
To make Teepee Treat Favors you will need:
Free Teepee printable (scroll down near bottom to find on website)
Sticks or feathers to decorate teepee
Download, print cut and glue together the teepees.
There are two different versions, one is colored and the other is not, or black and white. It can either be colored by a child or left as is. We like the black and white and decided to leave it.
Next, attach with glue a little bundle of sticks to the top point of the teepee.
Now is a good time to cut halfway up on each side of the teepee door flap that will be used to open up the treat container.
Fill up nut cup with treats and get ready to attach it to the teepee using hot glue.
Once you have put treats into the nut cup, very carefully run a line of glue along the top of the nut cup and place firmly the teepee onto the cup. Allow to dry.
This is how the teepee treat favor will be open up to get the treats out. Just pull the flap up and carefully pull off the teepee slightly, making a little opening to shake out the treats so that the teepee remains pretty much in tact, or pull off the teepee completely to get the treats out.
You can see how we decided to open ours!
We are so looking forward to decorating our kids Thanksgiving table with these teepee treat favors!
I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way - in all your speaking and in all your knowledge.
