Cross Easter Mantel

Happy to be sharing our Easter mantel with all of you today! Our idea was to make the "cross" the primary focus of Easter,  the wreath is symbolic of the crown of thorns Jesus wore, the eggs, rabbit, grass and basket are the elements one might have in an Easter celebration.

And somehow, they all work together!

We affectionately call our idea the, Cross Easter Mantel.

We made some new Easter crosses this season. We found all our supplies at the craft store.

First we painted the crosses with a Parchment colored chalk paint. Next we painted our embellishments with a silver chalk paint. Once our pieces were dry, we glued them onto the crosses.

Our friendly little rabbit sitting in the grass playing with the eggs was a gift from a very special boy.

Our Easter basket holds some beautiful chocolate eggs....which we made...but are not to be eaten...just for looking. (We will show you how to make them in another post).

As we  prepare our home for Easter, we hope you will find some inspiration to prepare yours too.

...while we wait for the blessed hope — the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Titus 2:13-14

  1. You are absolutely right dear; this Easter Egg Hunt seems like an amazing event! Last year I wanted to host a holiday party at my house but I was not sure about the decoration ideas. So thanks for sharing them here and helping here.
