Water Play:{Sponge Water Balls}

Summer fun water play!
We squeezed in a few more activities before school starts back up.
Here is one fun activity you may want to try!
We were first introduced to these sponge balls by One Charming Party
who never features an uncharming party or idea!
They are super easy to make,
look pretty cool and nobody will get hurt when they are bombed by one!

These are so much fun to play with!
Everyone will have a blast!

How To:
You will need three sponges per sponge ball. Cut each sponge in half and half again so you end up with four pieces. Pick up the pieces in a random color pattern and hold in one hand. Give the pieces a tight squeeze and twist, while a helper cuts off a length of dental floss and ties it  around the middle of the ball.
Fluff it up and it is ready to be used!

We used a variety of sponges: some from the Dollar tree and Target.

Water Toys At Work!
Thankful for some nice weather finally, we took our water toys out for some fun!

We hope you are inspired to give these fun sponge balls a try while there is still some summer left!
Remember, keep it Homespun!

Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.

  1. These are super cute! The key, it seems, lies in finding the brightest colors of sponges. :-)

  2. I've been seeing water bombs a lot lately, though I think my little one is a bit too small for them just yet.

  3. This is a great idea for kids...I'm going to have to pin it for when my little one gets older!!

    Thanks for sharing!
