Count Down Champagne Glasses

How Do You Countdown?  Counting down the minuets, and than the seconds until midnight, and the beginning of a new year is fun and exciting. Watching the big ball drop in New York's Time Square, even if only on t.v. is as traditional as toasting in the New Year. We took out inspiration for these count down champagne glasses from the mother of crafts herself,  Martha Stewart.

We started with Dollar Tree champagne glasses, two per package and they are a heavier plastic which make them look a little more like glass.

                      We used gold sticker numbers that we already.

Clean and dry glasses prior to applying sticker numbers. Center number and apply. Instead of starting the count down numbers at ten, we decided to start with 3,2,1.

              All ready for a nice splash of cold champagne to toast the New Year.

These glasses would be fun to make up ahead of time for New Years Eve with family and serve sparkling apple juice for the children and something more grown up for the adults.

                We used a silver Dollar Tree tray to display our champagne glasses on.

                       Adding our homemade horns adds more festive fun and decor.

                                  So, are you ready? Here we go.........     3

Happy 2012 everyone!

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

  2. That was a great idea that you made from those champagne glasses, although it is also the best time to toast for in coming year to have good vibes and more blessings to come.
