Valentine's Day Mantle Candles

Romantic Candle Wraps.  Sassy and edgy are our Valentine's Day mantel candle wraps. We hope you had a chance to see the full Valentine's Day Mantel. We decided this Valentine's Day we would have a more adult, sophisticated theme and decor to follow. These candle wraps are so simple to make and really need no special materials to put together.

To make these candle wraps we used: Our flame less candles. {3}.Red ribbon. From the craft store scrap book area this black damask print. It is not paper or velum, but like the sheets used for an over head projector. We don't know the proper name., perhaps, transparency film? We apologize for our ignorance. We bought 3 sheets and had some scraps left over.

How to: Place damask film on work surface and measure and cut to correct height of candle. We used tall pillars, so the width around the candle was fine, we just cut some off from the height.

Wrap the damask film around the candle and with a black marker make two dots that you will put a hole through to serve as your ribbon threader for your laces. Run your ribbon through and crisscross in front. Bring the ribbon around and behind the candle and meet back in front {no more holes needed}, and crisscross again in the middle. Continue process until you have reached the bottom front of the candle. Tie a pretty bow.

This is a look at the back of the candle wrap.

This is what you will end up with.
