Kids Budget Savvy Valentine's Table

Need a couple ideas for a kids Valentine's Day table? We have put together a kid friendly, pocket book friendly quick and easy Valentine's Day table just for the kids. Put this table together while the kids are in school and surprise them when they come home! You will be the best mom, aunt or grandma! As we always try to do, we used mostly items we already had. Here is what we did.

To show our love, we made mini heart shaped sandwiches. Using some lunch meat, cheese and bread we cut out our shapes for the sandwiches. Other suggestions to add to the plate are: heart shaped fruit and vegetables.

To drink we found a bottle of Raspberry Lemonade and decorated it up with heart doilies, ribbon and Valentine stickers. Peaking out from behind the bottle is our Can of Hearts Centerpiece.

We had some left over plastic cups from Christmas, the kind you don't throw away plastic cups, and decided we could use these as Valentine cups by covering up the Christmas design with card stock. So we cut out a cup wrap and decorated it with a heart doilie and used a Martha Stewart Valentine tag as the place card. We had left over heart straws from last season that worked perfectly.

We love having more a variety of little treats for our party tables, so we popped up some popcorn and drizzled on some melted chocolate. We used  a favor carton we decorated with a doilie and added a sweet vintage Valentine embellishment to it.

This little girl is one of our all time FAVORITES. She is from Free Pretty Things For You, and is made as a cup wrap. We found these last season and used them and love them sooo much we are using them again!  Just wrap around a paper cup and attach a pipe cleaner as a handle. We found some conversation salt water taffy to fill our favor cup up with.

To act as the "dessert", we cut out hearts from Pop Tarts and placed them in mini cupcake papers. We found that the icing on the Pop Tart doesn't break as easily when cut with the frosted side down. Then carefully remove the heart.

These are the things our family and children will remember for years to come and share with their children. How mom would loving plan and prepare a little party table for us for Valentine's Day. She didn't fill it with tons of stuff, just mostly lots of love. Be inspired, get creative!

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God,
and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
