Pretty Mothers Day Liquid Hand Soap

Something pretty for Mom

We love giving some type of soap gift for Mothers Day. Last year for Mothers Day gifts we made these, decorative hand soap bottles, and recently we made these Lavender Soap bars. Since these are so well received, we thought we would do up a few more for this year of the liquid hand soap type. We went with a floral look last year, this time around we wanted to try a herbal, botanical look to the inside of the bottle.

While at the dollar tree, in the floral section, we happened upon what looked as close to herbal botanical as we were going to find their, which were actually pretty little ferns, that would do well for this project. With that we just needed to pick up some hand soap and be on our way.

We ended up buying a pretty pink colored soap with a pink peony scent, and a honey colored soap with a vanilla honey scent.

We removed the label by gently pulling it off, and what would not come off we ran under hot water and scraped a little with a knife and then used Goo Gone on anything sticky.

We pulled the frawns  off the stems and pushed them down inside the bottles using a chop stick. We probably used 5-6 per bottle. Just use as many as you think looks nice. We used the Maiden Hair fern for the pink soap bottle.

And the more Boston Fern looking  for the honey vanilla soap bottle.

We love the light and airy look and feel of the bottles.

When the bottles are empty, mom can refill them again with her favorite liquid hand soap.

Won't these look pretty at the kitchen and bath sink, or even outdoors if mom has a outdoor sink.

Let the kids in on this little project. There are a few steps they can do and feel proud about helping out!

Be inspired. Get creative!

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
