Easy Lace Mantel Pumpkins

Adding a touch of lace.  In case you have not noticed, we LOVE the color purple! It especially goes so naturally with Harvest and Thanksgiving decorating. We have long loved those gorgeous  plush velvet pumpkins, and maybe one day will try to make a few.
Since we were fresh out of velvet, we covered a few pumpkins for our Give Thanks Mantel in purple lace instead.

To make these easy lance mantel pumpkins, we look our old pumpkins and lace which we cut into large squares, centered the pumpkin in the middle of the lace square, pulled up each corner and gathered it at the stem of the pumpkin.

With a scrap piece of the same lace we tied up the gathered lace around the pumpkin stem.

This lace pumpkin stem was left without any additional decoration.

Since this pumpkin had an existing leaf and berry stem on it, we simply left it on and wrapped as to not disturb it.

The same is true of this pumpkin as well. We had some old brow cupcake papers that look like leafs, so we wanted to add them to our decorating by setting the lace pumpkin on top of a cupcake lined candle stick.

This is a quick and easy way to change out the color of your pumpkins and add an interesting shabby chic look to your Thanksgiving decor.

                                                            Be inspired, get creative!

The heart of the righteous studies how to answer,
But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil.

Proverbs 15:28
