Pretty Handmade Christmas Ornaments

Something for the tree.  This year we decided on a red and white, Scandinavian-ish  Christmas theme. While we already had some red and white tree ornaments, they were not exactly the style or look we were going for. Since we had the craft supplies on hand we thought we would make some new Christmas ornaments this year.

We hope you will like the 5 new ornaments we made and will be sharing with you over the next few days. Here we go with ornament number one.

Christmas Ornament Number One

We were blessed last Christmas to receive a large collection of clear glass ornaments that once belonged to a lovely family who longer could use them. These are the type that do not come apart in the middle to put things inside, but the old fashioned type that is one solid piece and if you do want to put a decoration inside the ball you remove the delicate little topper.

What we used to make our handmade Christmas Ornaments:

Several glass balls differing in size and shape.
Fake craft snow.
Fake greenery.
Red ribbon.

How we made our handmade Christmas ornaments:

We removed the ornament topper and set it to the side.
We took a piece a  parchment paper a laid the snow on it to make for easy pouring into the ornament hole.
We rolled up the parchment paper a little to make a little tip or point to pass the snow into the ornament.

Once the snow was in the ornament we added in different greenery, put the topper back on.

Lastly, we tied on a red ribbon for hanging the ornament.

A pretty collection of Christmas ornaments.

Have a closer look at these frosty, chilly little Christmas balls.

We filled this one with red jingle bells.

Red berries and a piece of pine.

Mistletoe and pine.

We hope you found some inspiration here today for your Christmas tree. We always like to think you can never have to many ornaments. We hope you will stop back by tomorrow for  Christmas ornament number two.

Be inspired, get creative!

Whoever rewards evil for good,
Evil will not depart from his house.
